Russia is our sacred state,
Russia is our beloved country.
Mighty will, great glory—
Are your heritage for all time!
Glory to you, our free Fatherland,
Eternal union of brotherly peoples,
Ancestral wisdom bestowed by our forebears!
Glory, country! We are proud of you!
From the southern seas to the polar reaches
Our forests and fields are spread wide.
You alone are in the world! You alone are such—
Our native land, protected by God!
A broad expanse for dream and for life
The coming years are opening to us.
Our loyalty to the Fatherland gives us strength.
So it was, so it is, and so it shall always be!
