Mongol ulsiin töriin duulal · Монгол Улсын Төрийн дуулал
Mongolia's national anthem has utilized the same music since 1950, but its lyrics have undergone multiple significant revisions. These changes largely reflect major political shifts, from de-Stalinization to the nation's transition to democracy.
The anthem's music was adopted, along with original lyrics penned by Tsendiin Damdinsüren.
Original lyrics were replaced, possibly due to de-Stalinization and a mention of Stalin, with new lyrics by Gaitaw and Tshimid.
Following Mongolia's transition to democracy, the 1950 lyrics were restored but modified to remove Communist hero references.
The lyrics underwent another slight revision, notably incorporating unique refrains for both verses.
Between Stalin's death in 1953 and the 1961 lyric replacement, the anthem's second verse was reportedly omitted during performances due to its mention of him.
