Kulluna lil-Watan · كلّنا للوطن
The Lebanese National Anthem, "Kulluna lil-watan" (All Of Us, For Our Country!), was initially adopted in 1927 during the French Mandate. It was then re-adopted and confirmed upon Lebanon's proclamation of independence in 1943.
The French territory of Greater Lebanon was created.
The anthem, composed by Wadih Sabra and with lyrics by Rachid Nakhlé, was officially adopted on July 12.
The anthem was re-adopted when Lebanon proclaimed its independence from French rule.
The anthem's composer, Wadih Sabra, was trained in France and uniquely blended both Western and Eastern musical styles in its composition.
